Transcending Barriers: Julia Chepete has embarked on a journey of empowerment, transcending barriers that have long confined women to the sidelines, undertaking her national service before undertaking her university studies in science, a field that is still predominately populated by men.
Science Background: With a Master’s degree in Microbiology, Julia Chepete has worked in various corporations as a Microbiologist and Quality Environment Health & Safety (QEHS) Manager. As a lecturer at the University of Botswana and currently as senior lecturer at Botho University, she has helped nurture the minds of the next generation of Botswana’s STEM innovators
Mentor: Julia Chepete’s commitment to mentoring and empowering the youth, especially the girl child, reflects a passion for shaping the future leaders of Botswana.
MPHO PHEKO

Thirst for Knowledge and Development: Prof Pheko holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from the University of Cape Town; a Masters of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University, USA; a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Psychology from Barry University in Miami, and a Certificate in Professional Coaching from Henley Business School.
Job Creation and Future of Work Expert: She has published, researched and supervised students on a wide range of topics in the areas of employability, women, youth and personal, The Future of Work, Skills development for the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields, with a focus on Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)
Distinguished Academic Career: Professor Pheko is the first Motswana ever to be promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at the University of Botswana's Department of Psychology. She was later promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in March 2021.

Born a Politician and Activist: Daisy Bothusi was an activist from a young age, fighting for the rights of her fellow students in secondary school.
Fighting to End Gender Based Violence: A founding member of the Africa End Sexual Harassment Initiative (AESHI), Bathusi actively contributed to the #SilenceIsViolence campaign during the Nigerian school girls' abduction.
Mentoring: Daisy Bathusi is mentoring the next generation of young political leaders in her local community.
National and Regional Leadership: Daisy Bathusi is Deputy Secretary General of the Women's Academy for Africa (WAFA) and has chaired the Botswana National Hospitality Standards Setting Task Team since 2006.

Financial acumen: Ethel Gampone as a Diploma in Accounting from the University of Botswana. Her Financial acumen was further honed during her decade long tenure in the finance department at the Botswana Power Corporation.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ethel Gampone’s journey as a successful entrepreneur spans two decades across a diverse range of industries from retail and restaurants to oil, logistics and farming.
